The "raw" market price shown above is just the beginning. Before hitting your bill, the final Indexed rate has several additions:
These daily market fluctuations apply only if you are on an Indexed tariff (such as the PVPC regulated tariff or an indexed free-market tariff). If you are on a Fixed or Flat tariff, these daily and hourly changes do NOT affect your bill—your rate remains what it says on your contract regardless of market spikes or dips.

This is the raw cost of energy produced at power plants, traded daily on the Iberian market. This value changes every hour (or every 15 minutes in modern metering systems) based on supply and demand.
These are fixed government-regulated charges (peajes y cargos) to maintain the national grid and fund renewables. Under the 2.0TD tariff, these charges vary significantly by time: P1 (Peak), P2 (Mid), and P3 (Off-Peak).
Electricity providers charge a small commission (typically around 1.2 c€/kWh or a monthly fee) to manage your billing and risk. This is the only part of the energy rate where suppliers compete on price in the Spanish market.
Finally, your bill includes the Electricity Tax (Impuesto Especial sobre la Electricidad) and IVA (VAT). The estimates shown on this page are before tax to provide a clear view of market performance.
